FOX NEWS Tripled CNN's viewership for Bush Press Conference

According to NIELSEN:

FOX NEWS: 5,156,000 viewers
CNN: 1,760,000 viewers
MSNBC: 867,000 viewers

More and more Americans are switching to Fox News. I guess they're getting sick of the liberal media and like the fair and balanced approach and/or the lively personalities. :)

I could think of another reason for this startling statistic.

And that would be?

interesting, those are prime time numbers. lets face it, most people know the partisan media is working for kerry, so why watch?

Many more republicans watched Bush's speech than liberals.

nah cal, i didnt watch. and your argument holds no water. only the ultra liberal press was in the room, helping kerry

i do know fox has the top 5 cable news shows, far ahead of cnn and msnbc. another point. everyone knows the partisan media works for kerry, so why wouldnt liberals want to tune in and watch the kerry campaign attack bush?

This logic doesn't follow through the same way the logic of only conservatives watching the speech doesn't work.

of course it does. it was a roomful of kerry supporters against bush. why wouldnt liberals watch it?

I did not use the logic ONLY conservatives wathed the speech. but I do sincerely believe that a large republican audience was the reason for triple the viewership on Fox than CNN. I am not saying that 3 times of Republicans watched the speech compared to liberals. First of all I would say liberals would be more apt to watch CNN or MSNBC (although they are pretty balanced). but atleast more republicans were watching than democrats.

MSNBC is pretty balanced, CNN is definitely liberal although I don't think they are as liberal as Fox is conservative. although I will give Fox credit for solid reporting, however how they choose to present news, or what news they choose is definitely biased conservative, plus the obvious opinion shows.

Any body who recommends Botulinum Toxin for its people, would certainly higher operatives to stand against Bush.

I agree CNN is worse than MSNBC but I don't think MSNBC is balanced. I think Fox News is the closest thing to balanced we've got. They just appear conservative to some people because we're so used to everything being so left-biased. They have some conservatives and they have some liberals, and then there's those that you just can't tell what they are.

You have Hannity (conservative) and Colmes (liberal), you have O'Reilly (Independent). You have Greta (liberal). etc.

Greta's liberal? I am not saying she is conservative, but she seems at best independent.

I've always thought she was liberal. I think she tries to be "fair and balanced" being on Fox, but that has always been my impression since before she moved to Fox.
