While pro-abortion Bill Clinton was President, he appointed
367 liberal judges during his eight years in office...and these judges hold their positions for life!
Contrast this to what is happening right now with the Senate fillibustering of Judicial nominations by President Bush.
If your wondering why partial birth abortions are still being performed, look no further than the over abundance of Liberal Judges holding positions in Federal District Courts across this country. THank you Bill clinton
Just as the fate of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban rests in the hands of federal district judges in New York, Nebraska and California this week - the fates of so many laws are ultimately decided in district and circuit courts.
The "Laci and Conner Law" faces the same roadblocks.
That is why we MUST have pro-life judges in our courts.

I agree with you j. The Dems always throw temper tantrums when they are outnumbered. I believe we will see the Laci and Conner Law get by those liberal judges.

The problem is that the vast majority of the Nation is Pro-choice. Pro-life is an outlier position.

Wrong! The majority of the nation is pro-life.
Since Roe vs. Wade became the law of the land 31 years ago there have been over 43 million abortions in the United States. This landmark decision made abortion legal for any reason and at almost any time during a woman’s pregnancy. This is an atrocity! Today, Americans have become more pro-life and do not support abortion on demand.
Poll after poll shows that the American people overwhelmingly support restrictions on abortion.
Here's a link that shows poll results from pollsters like Zogby, Gallup, ABC News, Fox News, Newsweek, CNN/USA Today, Los Angeles Times, CBS News/New York Times, Time. The majority believes abortion is homicide and morally wrong. Even more think it should only be available under certain circumstances. Not great, but a step in the right direction.

In Florida, under 18 you need parent consent for a tatoo. (and I agree you should)
However In Florida, and under 18 you dont need parental consent for abortion. Unbelievable!

Good post Kelly! and I agree with you....steps are being made in the right direction, and its only a matter of time before Roe v Wade is overturned.
I read somewhere...and I'll have to dig to find out this murderer's name...but he's an Abortionist with a lucrative business in Ohio (I think it is), that reportedely donated huge amounts of money in order to tie up Partial Birth Abortion in Federal Dustrict Court. Its a pay-off, plain and simple. Might as well be the Mafia. This is what happens across this country, and the victims are babies. Babies that get torn to pieces just inches from a safe delivery, their heads punctured with scissors, sculls collapsed, (and I hate to be graphic...but I even heard an abortionist describe her technique of twisting and turning the baby by its legs, until the head is seperated to facilitate easier removal).
Money collected. Babies dead.
No conscience what so ever by the members of Congress that have helped to make this possible by blocking nominations of Pro Life Judges.

I will always wonder how this county ever passed Rowe vs. Wade in the first place.

by a decision of the US Supreme Court under Chief Justice Earl Warren which was a very Liberal SC unlike the current 5-4 Conservative split. Ironically, when California's AG in 1941, the great Civil Libertarian Earl Warren was the most vocal advocate of imprisoning American citizens of Japanese descent in Concentration Camps outside of the State. But then again, he was a Republican and many of his supporters coveted the properties owned by the Nisei which were confiscated and sold for pennies on the dollar.

Only 18% believe Abortion should be illegal in all circumstances. Sure, many believe in restrictions, but 82% disagree with you.

Picking one figure out of all those polls and say 82% disagree with Southergale is flat incorrect. Her point was that a majority of people in the US are against abortion at will...

It can be inferred from her post, the section which I quoted, that she is against abortion in all circumstances. According to the website she provided, 82% of people disagree with her, consequently I stand behind my post.

I don't get the same inferrence from her post. It would be interesting to see when those opposed to abortion in general would find it acceptable. i.e. rape, incest....

I would think it runs the gamut from abortion on demand to abortion never and everywhere in between. And clearly from the polls and statistics out there most people are somwehere between the two poles.

Well this is my first post over here ..
I think the idea of abortion is absolutely sickening to me...goes against all my morals

....
I hope that one day soon they at least make it illegal to have the worst type of abortion...Partial-Birth....I cant believe they would kill a child after its head was already out by sucking its brains out....It was a living thing...and that just makes me want to cry to know people could get away with murder.

Welcome Wnghs2007! I have to agree on the partial birth abortions. I can't imagine how the Doctor's who do this justify it...

Ugh, he's back, but I agree with him about partial birth abortions. They should be illegal under all circumstances.
