I know we've had pet topics before, but I was curious, with all the new members and old timers, what kinds of pets does everyone out there have?
We have a blue merle Aussie named Maxwell, and my silver chinchilla persian cat, Norma Jean Baker...Jeanie for short. Jeanie has lived with us in Daytona Beach, FL, Conway, SC, Ocean Isle Bch, NC, Fripp Island ,SC, Chicago, IL, Bossier City, LA, Shreveport, LA, and now, finally in SoCal....the cat has adjusted amazingly to moving....she's an old hat at it by now....doesn't even panic when the movers come in and start putting everything in boxes!
Pets bring so much joy into our lives...it's fun sharing them and their stories with friends!

Pets that used to own me...well, let's see...a gray tabby with white paws named Mittens, turtle named Corky and some goldfish (I actually forget what their names were...lol) while in Cincinnati...and a Vizsla named Captain and some hermit crabs named Hermie and Henrietta while in Hamilton, Ohio.
Since having moved to lower NY state and now in NC...haven't had any pets.

Okay, I made that last post up....
Three cats, an short-hair orange male named Mr. Thumbs (he's a polydactyl), a long-haired black cat named Halle, and the newest, a brown tabby with white named Alice. One great dog, a Heinz 57 (Pittsburgh-ese for a mixed breed - get it? 57 varieties). Two tanks with multiple fish - one 55 gallon and one 20 gallon. The star of the show is a 15-inch sailfin pleco named Joe. He loves my wife, when she sits down on our love seat, he swims to that side of the tank. I am not kidding.

I've heard of humans having a kind of palsy (Bell's Palsy)...never a fish or any other animal though...that's interesting, Colin.

I had three ultra-sweet cats that recently passed away after a good 17-18 years of owning me.
Here is the last to go, pictured in her wheelchair trying to nap in a sun beam.

LOL!!! I have heard the term and I don't have it. hehe. Most of the pets I have are rescued animals. Went to the vet yesterday and they wanted me to see an Aussie puppy that someone dumped out on a busy highway and was hit. I RAN!!!!

I just took in a Corgi named Honey from there 2 weeks ago because her owner passed away.
