BREAKING NEWS: Another Spiritual Movement for me :)

Actually it was more like a spiritual reminder lol..
FBC's own Ashley Wilder {who also just so happens to be the Pastor's daughter} spiritually reminded me of something tonight.
I DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT!

Ms. Wilder once again sung the song "Don't Look at Me" and I was sitting there singing it right there along with her. {in my seat of course.. not on stage lol}
Also.. I am THIS CLOSE to asking our music pastor if I can join the choir. I want too so bad but for some reason everytime I get up enough courage to ask him if I can join.. I get cold feet lol..

I had a great night at church.. Plus the service this morning wasn't too bad either..

Thank you KC.. Someone even told me today.. "Maybe you haven't asked pastor Epperson {the music pastor} yet because you haven't yet received God's calling..
I don't know.. lol

John,
I'm not sure I've heard "Don't Look At Me" before at church...hopefully my new church in Raleigh will have that one sometime!
My Dad has sung in church choirs and he always enjoyed it...he also was in a quartet for awhile, too.

I'm sure I will KC.. I would just love to be able to sing in front of people instead of just blending in with the congregation..
I mean.. I'd blend in with the choir too.. But at least I'd be singing with a smaller group and to the church.. not with the church {if that makes any sense}

Yes I know what you mean....I just wish for the best....

I sang for awhile in a youth group choir while living in Cincinnati...one summer we took a church bus tour to some other churches in OH, IN and Ontario Canada to give concerts.
Another time the choir sang at a chapel service for my Christian H.S.

Sounds exciting, John!

While in northern OH our youth choir had a stop at Cedar Point Amusement Park there on the shore of Lake Erie, too.

I'd need ALOT of voice training...blended in with a choir I wasn't as self-conscious about my 'couldn't carry a tune in a bucket' so to say.

I have actually been told that I CAN SING lol by fellow choir members. That should be all the confidence I need.. but I am having trouble just getting up the nerve to ask lol

Thank you Eric.. I mean.. I really really really would like to join the choir..
But a couple things hinder me..
1. I don't necessarily like going to the AM church service every week. {the sanctuary choir usually only performs during Sunday mornings}
2. I don't usually go to church 2x a day either. {AM and PM} just lately I have wanted too.
I do want to join the choir.. I really do.. But I have to figure out whether I would be more than willing to make 2 a days at church a rule instead of an exception {since the choir every so often performs at night too}

<<<<PUSH>>>> John, you can do it. You sound like you really want to do this, so go ahead and take that plunge. You'll be proud of yourself afterwards. Even if it doesn't work out (going to church 2x a day, etc) you'll be happy that at least you tried your best. You don't want to look back later and regret not taking the chance. I have FAITH that you can do it. Good luck!
