A strange turn of events

Seems we have a influx of our summer residents returning to their summer cabins. My wife, Michelle was at the Chamer of Commerce picking up yellow ribbons for our vehicles, in the short time she was there, over 8 ppl called saying that they are back and wanted to know where the local bomb shelters are, pretty interesting, ppl are flocking up here to escape the Valley! :o

Yes indeed, NO SOONER than I posted this, what, about 5 minutes ago, my nieghbors from Salome, not too far from the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant just showed up, about 3 months earlier than they normally come up. They live up here from the latter part of May until late Oct., 1st Nov, Salome is the true word for the *living Hell* LOL, I went down one year for a visit, it was in late April, his back porch thermo was at 106* ALREADY!!!!!

Well you gotta understand, most of our summer residents are retired and most over the age of 60, most are in the age bracket of 65-80. These older folks tend to me more cautious and they do tend to overdo things LOL! The ONLY BAD thing that I can see is that our winter for all intents and purposes isn't over, if they drive bad in the summer on DRY roads, what it the world is gonna happen with SNOW PACKED and ICY ROADS?????

Lol woops i didn't mean to say anything bad about them. I guess you're right tho since they are old. There is nothing wrong with being too safe as theysay

No problem JQ, I understood what you were getting at! And YES......I think they're carrying it a bit far by doing this, I mean, they have to have their summer cabins opened back up, water turned back on and to be honest, I don't think that they can handle this cold spell we are under at the moment! I know the ER at the hospital in the summer goes NUTZ with these older folks with the altitude and all, I can't imagine what's gonna happen now, the cold air really affects these older ppl a GREAT deal!
