With gas hitting $2.00 a gallon in most states now, do you think the price of gas will ever come down? I don't......we've just proved to OPEC and the BIG OIL EXECS, that NO MATTER the price, we Americans are willing to pay ANY PRICE for the FREEDOM to drive our GAS PIGS! If we would ONLY take a lesson from the European countries and *Ride the Rails*.....we could then tell OPEC to shove the oil where the sun don't shine!

I do not see them coming down anytime soon and also see them going even higher as summer approaches.

Dept. of Energy needs to do something to curb this problem and quickly. Not a good time because of the economy showing definite signs of improvement.

There will come a point where it will start affecting travel. I think that threshold is closer to $2.50-3.00 a gallon. I heard that on the news the other day. Let us hope that we don't get anywhere near that this summer. If we do, I will definitely limit my driving time.

Almost $4 a gallon? They don't love their gasoline that much down at Australia, do they?

Yep, I feel prices will come down within a month or so. They are always around their highest around Memorial Day.

I don't think they'll come down for a while at least til after the major summer driving season. May slacken off during the fall but only rise during the winter holidays. Its a cycle we have to get used to. I really don't think drilling here would help. Its probably cheaper to produce it in other countries and get it here due to the fact that all the equipment and such as well as paying the employees would cost alot more in America than kuwait.

I was sitting talking with my dad the other day, he worked for 10 years in oil fields in Eastern New Mexico, West Texas. There are literally HUNDREDS of CAPPED wells, sitting, waiting to produce but GUESS WHO has them capped? One clue, Mr Cheneys COMPANY....."Halaburton" (hope I spelled that right)
