i dont think there will be any terror attacks on usa soil due to our invasion of iraq. i also think the risk is low overseas as well. the president and his admin have been excellent in arresting and killing terrorists. who knows how many were killed in the dead of night. our war on terror is going quite well. lets roll em up while we have the momentum

If the risk was low we would not be on orange. Sorry... I respectfully disagree.

Whether they come now or later there will be more attempts on the US and it's interests. All we can do is have faith that our government is doing all it can to disrupt the attacks and punish those who plan and carry them out.

I have to input my two cents here - alot is being done by local and state governments to protect and avert any terrorist attack. So much is done behind the scenes that no one ever sees about - its nice knowing that everyone is keeping this country safer.

I believe the threats to our country have been exaggerated. However, it only takes 1 big one to cause chaos, so keep the guard up. We are rounding up plenty of potential threats. There was some false rumors running about concerning 7 nuclear devices that entered the country prior to 9/11. These I believe are a hoax. We should probably be more concerned about OUR OWN nutz in this country. Proceed with caution during the next week. This will be the time to tell. If they were going to commit terrorist attacks on a large scale it will happen this week, during the war. But I believe again that some of these threats are exaggerated. Hope so at least. Orange is there for the Government as a CYA in this case. So they can say "i warned you JQ Public". And that is as it should be. Maybe I'm just less paranoid about the whole thing. But I keep my eyes and ears open. I have to pass two armed guards to get into work (holding M-16s at the booth), so I feel somewhat safe. But at the same time I'm a target I suppose. It's in God's hands. He will handle it. Cheers!!
i think it is only precautionary

I would like to believe there will be no terror attacks in the U.S. There is always a risk of a terrorist attack, but IMO the risk is no higher today than any day following 9/11/01.

Wow Helen, this is a complete 180 from what you were saying just 4 days ago! I agree, Bush has made the right decision, and I also agree that another terrorist attack anywhere near the level of 9/11 is extremely unlikely for a long time. The orange alert is just to be on the safe side...
