OH NO - were my exact words when I saw this topic.
This is a sad day in Hollywood and the entertainment world. May he RIP.
Mary
PS - not a stupid question Garrett. You're too young to even know who he was probably! I'll try to find some links for you...here's one for starters:

And for the role he's probably most famous for on the TV Show "The Odd Couple", Felix Unger.....

I didn't know who he was either. Of course, that was a little before my time, lol
sad day indeed. What's with all the actors dying lately? There's too many to list really.

R.I.P. Tony
I remember another series he did for a while, too, called "Love, Sidney".

Well, now I am even sadder - Tony Randall left behind 2 young children! Ages 5 and 7. I guess I just figured his children had to be grown, since he was into his 80s now. Just read this on tvguide.com....

Randall, who won an Emmy in 1975 for his portrayal of the fussbudget Felix Unger, suffered complications from a long illness. I actually have Tony Randalls autograph. My grandfather got it some years ago, and gave it to me shortly before he (my Grandfather) passed away.

I loved Tony Randall as Felix. The other role he played perfectly was the movie with Rock Hudson and Doris Day. RH thinks he's dying, but he misundstood his doctor's diagnosis and TR plays his next door neighbor. The movie is hilarious.....forget the title right now. No doubt, Shawn will help me out on this one.

They did three together -- "Lover Come Back," "Pillow Talk," and the one you're thinking about, Mary..."Send Me No Flowers."
