You forgot Ford.

I know he wasn't elected, but he still was President.

Truman, Ike, JFK, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, GHW Bush, "that man in the White House", and GW Bush.
I don't remember Harry S Truman...I was just a baby at the time...but I do have recollections of Eisenhower as some sort of a "grandfatherly" type. JFK was the first President I recall re: issues and foreign policy, not to mention Jackie's profound influence.
The rest, as they say, is history...and is still in the making.

I was born in '59. I suppose that was during Ike's tenure. My earliest memory was seeing Kennedy's horse-drawn hearse. I remember in grade school, when one kid would say "why?," the standard answere was "because LBJ said so." I really dont know where that joke came from. I was in high school during Carter and things didn't look good for America. I was in college during Reagans first term, and out of school living it up during Reagans second term. 1985 and 86 were some really good years! I didn't live through Clinton's term, I suffered through it.

I was 10 months old when JFK was assassinated...way too young obviously then to have any concept of what happened to us as a nation that Thanksgiving period.
I had been born in Anderson, IN...and my Dad has a pic of Kennedy when he stopped by that city on his campaign tour.

My dad was 10 months old on November 24, 1963, two days after the assassination.

Found a cool website, you can view Presidents by date or in alphabetical order:

I remember JFK's assassination and funeral very well. I was 8 then, in class. Our Pastor suddenly came on the PA telling us that President Kennedy had been shot, that classes were cancelled and that we should go STRAIGHT home immediately. About half the school walked home. I still remember that slow walk home - we were all talking about it. Remember I was only 8 at the time. None of us could understand who could be so evil as to shoot our beloved President. I didn't know a single person who didn't love the man. I walked in our kitchen door to find my mom, sobbing and watching TV. We watched TV nonstop for 4 days. I saw Ruby shoot Oswald on live TV. My mother thought the end of the world was coming I think. It was just a sad, sad time. I also remember seeing John John salute his father's casket. I think my mom hugged me then and there. Probably all the mohters and fathers across the country were hugging their children at that very moment and thru out the funeral.

From JFK onward. I don't remember him though. I can remember as far back as Nixon, I think. But, for the life of me, I can't recall him saying, "I am not a crook!" One would think that I should remember something like that.
hmmm...
