Why are people going to see this junk?

Forgive me for sounding like I'm in a cave.. lol.. But what is so bad about this movie..?

I'd expect it to play well on both "Left Coasts"...

I haven't seen the movie but it appears to be a blantant attack on President Bush. Billed as a documentary, Michael Moore makes no attempt to present the story in a even handed manner. He selectively edits actual recordings of interviews to remove any trace of material that reflects positively on the President. With his ultra liberal stance widely known, this is just an excuse for an anti-Bush political ad where people pay to go see it.

Moore tries to play that ignorant game of Let's Connect The Dots Between Iraq And 9/11. And then when it can't be done, he tries to blame Bush and says that the war in Iraq is unjust since there's no DIRECT connection between Iraq and the attacks on 9/11.

In my opinion, it's asinine because it's like trying to say that playing Pong for hours on end was the reason Billie Jean King was able to beat Bobby Riggs in tennis and then you find out neither played Pong to begin with, therefore, Bobby is not to blame for someone losing a $1000 bet on him because they didn't introduce him to Pong first.

Make sense?

It shouldn't because Michael Moore's arguments don't either. He's creating an unarguable argument in an effort to make Bush look bad, but he only makes himself (Moore) look bad. And he bites as a documentary maker anyway.

Oh Ok Marshall.. So it appears to be an attack on Bush in a movie sense lol.. Makes sense

It bashes President Bush badly and pretty much blames him for 9/11 and then exaggerates problems in Iraq(he got his camera crews supposedly "embedded" with U.S. troops without telling anyone who he was).

Also.. I am not too big a fan of Bush.. so maybe just for kicks I'd go check out the movie myself lol.. I don't know..

In short, the only people who will "buy" Moore's crap are those who already believe it....or just want an "excuse" to get Kerry into the Oval Office. And Moore does not deny this at all...in fact, he CROWS about it.

same people who will line up to buy Clinton's book I would guess

Ya gotta wonder if the same people forking over money to see this garbage actually believe it. I'm sure some people want to see it just so they can confirm Michael Moore's idiocy if it has managed to escape them somehow.

Of course the celebrities LOVE the movie....many celebrities flocked to go see it..like Viggo Mortensen...and some other real top stars ( i cant remember ) but anyways...i was surprised to see that the Dixie Chicks didnt go see it...hmmm.

Dixie Chicks I'm sure will get a private copy to watch on the tour bus before every concert.

I would not go see it just to see how idiotic he is. Why line his pocketbook when I already know he is an idiot.

I think politics should stay out of our movie theaters

You know, this movie was just an attempt to affect the election outcome. I really thought there was some kind of law barring something about political "games" like this 6 months before the election. I'm going to do a little research and get back to you all on this.
