that I've seen no comments anywhere about the comments Tovarisch Hillary made on the Left Coast in Leningrad by the Bay (SFO) last night as reported on the Drudge Report. Particularly the one about taking away from us for the benefit of the common good-seems I heard that Philosophy once before and not in this Country. This brings up a question, given that Cheney is not really a viable candidate for President in 2008 should Bush win because of his health, wouldn't it be best for the Country for Cheney to step down and someone in better condition step in? Or would it be better to elect Kerry but stick him with a GOP House and Senate to ensure gridlock so as to keep Hillary out in 2008-the thought of having her in power with her philosophy is scarier than crap and I would certainly think very hard about leaving the Country if she did come to power.

Yes...I did hear Hillary's comments. At a fundraiser no less where I am sure people are wondering why they paid up to $10k to listen to her.

I still believe Cheney could back away from the ticket...probably replaced by Guliani..another interesting twist to the saga of "New Yawkaas!"

This country is in a day-to-day, week-to-week mode right now. Soooo many things are going to happen before 2008 that projecting that far in advance is fruitless....

But...I agree with you, for those in the Democratic party who believe Hillary is the brightest star in the sky for next time around...they too need a vision and hearing check by their docs.

Long ago, in college (Swarthmore, 1969) Hillary stated that the most influential book she'd ever read was Aldous Huxley's Brave New World; she has since restated that position often during her tenure as "First Lady (?)".

Read it, and you have a valuable insight into the mind of a madwoman. :grrr:

here is what she said:

"Many of you are well enough off that the Tax Cuts have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you." (now for the kicker)" We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." I Think that last Philosophy is from a book all right, but not one by Huxley but rather by a German in 1848.

I understand Bush sticking with Cheney but I would rather see Rudy G in his place. I think it would setup 2008 much better for the Republicans. :-)
