VICE PRESIDENT HILLARY; SPECULATION INTENSIFIES IN WASHINGTON

Official Washington and the entire press corps will be rocked when Hillary Rodham Clinton is picked as Kerry's VP and a massive love fest will begin!

So predicts a top Washington insider, who spoke to the DRUDGE REPORT on condition he not be named.

"All the signs point in her direction," said the insider, one of the most influencial and well-placed in the nation's capital. "It is the solution to every Kerry problem."

I doubt she will accept it. She has her own agenda.

I would agree Linda with the exception that she might think Kerry has a chance to win. A Kerry win would pretty well preclude her from running in 2008. One potential resolution would be a deal being struck with her as the VP this year with Kerry agreing not to run against her in 2008. Hillary could be getting a lot of pressure from the party to help strengthen the ticket.

I don't see how Hitlary on the ticket is going to help. Sure, it might help the base, but it's not going to convince swing voters and others unhappy with Bush.

Dick Morris predicted this months ago..has a bet going with O'reilly.

Marshall says: (and I think this is a definite possibilty)

"One potential resolution would be a deal being struck with her as the VP this year with Kerry agreing not to run against her in 2008."

With ths scenario, they both get what they want now. Once Hillary has her feet back in the White House, (with Bill in tow) this country is doomed.

BTW...I'm no political scholar...but I do believe that slick Willy could run as Hillary's VP in 2008.

Am I right?

Hmmm...I think she'd accept it with the hopes that Kerry might meet an untimely death and she could take the Oval Office.

The woman scares me. And I'm not saying I would...but I'd almost have to consider moving across the border if she were President.

Why not...you skeered of her too? She's skeeeery!

BTW, I'm willing to bet Chelsea will be a Republican within the next decade. Don't kids sometimes take the opposite political path of their parents?

No I don't -- I still don't know the answer to "What does John Kerry stand for?" :) My mom always told me to look stuff up if I didn't know the answer, but some things you just can't find, even in Snopes.

As for Bubba being eligible to run for VP, as far as I can tell, he can. He's ineligible to be ELECTED as President again (22 Amendment), however, he can serve as VP and then take the office should the President be unable to fulfill his duties. That's what I've heard. Although some argue the 12th Amendment says that anybody who is eligible (35, natural-born citizen) to run as Prez can run as VP. And since, Clinton is NOT eligible to run for Prez...again...he could not run for Veep.

It's quite an arguable case and one that I hope NEVER comes up in an election. :)

Doesn't it feel great Helen to lumped into a particular group and be called something offensive? What goes around, comes around.

Most definitely!

I pray to God she doesn't get on the ticket as VP. I'm shuddering at the thought.

Either way... it sucks! I hope she does NOT get the VP nod! Too bad, I'm in the military. If I wasn't, I would pack my bags and move to Australia or Canada! I can not stand Hilary, Kerry or GW. I have not voted in an election and I don't plan on doing it! (I'm 22... and could have voted in the last election, but chose not to.)
