Rudy Giuliani sounds like a GREAT choice to me, too, for a running mate for Bush!

I agree... Cheney is a weak VP. Bush needs someone else.

Does not matter about what party affiliation they are! It was not right for them to BOO during the playing of our National Anthem. PERIOD!

I always thought that Sen. Rick Santorum, R-PA, of Pittsburgh could possibly bring in the battleground state of Pennsylvania for him.
Can't get more conservative than him. Make a good POTUS-in-training for a lame duck president.
Then Specter could work on the Philly area.
Homeland Security Sec. Tom Ridge would only be a liability in this state, as he was a Pro-Choice governor, even though he is catholic. Christ, they almost excommunicated him here!
Guilliani would be a good pick too, he's ambitious enough. Give Hil something to campaign against.

Ridge didnt even help Bush win PA in 2000. If my memory serves me correctly...Gore won PA.

That's very true. Most NYers I know are
FIERCE when it comes to fighting terrorism.
Especially those in the financial district, or have any economic interests at all.
Of course, that's hardly the rabble that rumbles in the Bronx, although they can be fierce in their own way.

agreed their. I think it was ill of the Canadians to boo our national anthem, and it was rude of those New Yorkers who took part in booing Dick Cheney, like him or hate him, you should atleast be able to respect our nation and its National Anthem.

Ladies and Gents.......The Cheney booing occurred during the 7th inning stretch(God Bless America was playing), not during the Anthem...YES it was still tacky regardless, but hardly a good conservative image/ploy to be spreading false rumors.....

I just checked and you are correct.. It was during God Bless America not the anthem.. But that in no way shape or form makes it any better.. Again sorry for not getting the story correct.

There is a time and place for everything and that "7th inning stretch" was certainly not it. And can you PROVE who actually started the rumor? Or are you just blaming it on Conservatives?

He was blaming me for starting the rumor.. The rumor being that it was during the National Anthem.. And for that I apologized.. But still just as tasteless.
