If I want something "huuuunnay" usually does the trick. My hubby calls me "snake" dont ask me why, but it is a term of endearment

I guess I'm BORING, I just call him by his first name - Jim!

He's been known to call me Marski. Or just Mar.

We've never gotten into nics for eachother though.

No, I don't have a significant other...but as to Chad calling Jen 'babe'...
an uncle of mine in Indiana calls his wife that, too...even around extended family members...I used to get tickled inside when I'd hear him address her like that.

Actually, I call all my friends (guys and girls) that -- "Babe" -- as an extension of their names...have done it since working in the ER. Nikibabe, Ericbabe, Jillserbabe (one-syllable names just don't cut it...had to add more), Mattybabe, etc.

And my best friend now gets called and calls me Buddis (buddy with "iss" tagged on) because she and her hubby call each other Babis (babe + iss). Not sure where they got it or why they started it.

I usually say Babe or Honey but when I'm mad I say assorted bad words that contribute to my R-Rated Lifestyle and vocabulary.

I call my hubby "honey" most of the time and he calls me "baby-love". We're one of those sickening sweet couples forever lost in the honeymoon stage though...When Brian got home from work yesterday, I immediatly called him outside and gave him a long kiss, (Ialways do this). My daughters friend askedd if her parents were "romantic" parents...Chloe said "yes" and rolled her eyes....her friend responde by "geez, my parents aren't, they don't even sleep in the same room". I thought this was sad. I love being in an affectionate marriage!

Shannon,

My best friend Ken in Anaheim Hills, CA and his wife Pam are the same way from what my folks and I heard from a younger sister of Ken's who came out and saw us here in NC about 3 yrs. or so ago...anyway she (Kamela) his sister said they are like forever teenagers in love and they and their 2 sons and a daughter seem well-adjusted as a result of that kind of atmosphere! :)

Though I don't even have girlfriend, my friend Emily seems to call her male friends (including me) "sweetpea" or "sweety".
