Newsweek Big: Media Bias Worth 15-Points for Kerry-Edwards

The American press has dived so deeply into the tank for Sen. John Kerry's presidential bid that they don't even bother concealing their pro-Democrat bias anymore.

"Let’s talk a little media bias here," Newsweek's assistant managing editor Evan Thomas told PBS's "Inside Washington" last week, reports Sunday's New York Post.

Story Continues Below

"The media, I think, wants Kerry to win. And I think they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards - I’m talking about the establishment media, not Fox, but - they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and all, there’s going to be this glow about them that some, is going to be worth, collectively, the two of them, that’s going to be worth maybe 15 points.”
Newsweek's July 19 issue, "certainly backs up Thomas’ contention," notes the Media Research Center, which first uncovered the amazing admission. "Over a smiling picture on the cover of Kerry and Edwards, Newsweek ever hopefully asks: 'The Sunshine Boys?'”

better start now and fox better be truly fair and balanced by working for bush, or better yet, work for the nader campaign and divide the democratic party. Ever wonder why perot got all of the attention in 92 and 96? Because the republicans are divided. Now that Nader is a legit candidate, the media is doing everything to ignore him

The heck with the media. Let's see them on the debate floor.

Ralph could mop them both up, but Kerry will be smart enough to agree with him.

The Shrub better have some good teleprompters and ready-made questions, is all I can say for him. His fuzzy 'everythings' won't get him far with a truly savvy crowd.

Who cares, the media isnt america. Most of america stop trusting in the media back at the beginning of the war...how about worrying about the descisions both Bush and Kerry make and not what the Media says.

Unfortunately, the leftist media isn't going anywhere. They just get more liberal...and obvious. Bush just has to work harder than Kerry.

I can't wait for the debates either, but I see Bush doing much better than Kerry on the issues. Fuzzy 'everythings'? rofl
