Killing a dog is killing a dog.

Is it any less wrong to kill a homeless person than a successful business man?

Get a clue bahama! Do you NOT know that these police dogs DO human work? They have badges and are considered a police officer. :grr:

A police dog is an officer. Your lack of respect for life is amazing

Yeah, you're probably right. She'd say the owner was justified in doing what he did. But I'd like to hear her say it. Maybe we scared her off? We have lots of animal lovers on this board and when someone is abusive or negligent towards an animal it really gets me going. Don't get me started Linda.....the circus, zoo's, aquariums......I've not shared my views for a long time. Think I just saw her heading for the door!

The driver of the car that hit Nero...you'd think this guy would have noticed a police training exercise going on and in range of his headlights wouldn't be like a half-wit and speeding through that area knowing well there were officers around and...hopefully a speed camera on a lightpole at an intersection 'snapped' a pic of this guy's car and plate!! :grr:

:grr: I had ONE NERVE LEFT and YOU, JUST GOT ON IT :grr:

FYI...I am, along with my WIFE, are K9 Reserve Police Officers "AND" K9 Search and Rescue members, and your TOTAL lack of RESPECT for OUR PARTNERS is UNCALLED for and UNWARRENTED.."GOD HELP YOU!" Our "DOGS" ARE our PARTNERS, REGARDLESS of thier FUR :grr: I would take my "K9 Partners" ANY given DAY of the WEEK over a HUMAN!

And BTW......like it's been said, if you kill a Police K9, you might as well give up hope, because PAL...shooting a Police "DOG" is actually WORSE than killing a uniformed officer like myself!

No one said I don't like animals, nor that I have any pets of my own... but no one cries and posts about it on forums when a stray dog gets run over. Why the double standard? Why should someone killing a police dog be punished anymore than somone hitting some random mutt?

Times have CHANGED here on the mainland, if your even SUSPECTED of ANY kind of cruelty to an animal, be it a dog, cat, pig, chicken..your TOAST!

Who said I don't cry when a stray gets run over? I do! And I wish every stray could have a home. I wish people would spay/neuter their animals, so we wouldn't have so many animals in shelters. I wish so many things. I just don't see a double standard here.
