IN THE IRAQI DESERT — Saddam Hussein handsomely rewarded the army officer who targeted U.S. forces in a homicide bombing, honoring him with a posthumous promotion, two new medals and a huge financial windfall for his family.

He has money to burn...oil-for-food funds that SHOULD have gone to feed his people in his pockets. Saddam has already promised a hefty bounty on all coalition POWS or killed soldiers, yet his regime still calls OUR poorly-paid forces "mercenaries"? PULLEASE....

I hope his death is slow and agonizing. Much like the pain he has instilled upon our soldiers. And much like the pain he has instilled among the Iraqi women and children.
