All of my employees called in sick last year, one after the other, every 5 minutes.

Then they all showed up for work.

I have 4 people that work under me in my department, so the whole thing was quite a shock!

Best April Fools joke/prank I helped out with was a couple of years back when we stayed late on March 31st and set all of the office clocks ahead by an hour. The next day, the boss (who's in on the joke) stormed into the office demanding to know why all the secretarys were an hour late...

They were speechless... *chuckles*

We totally had them going for a couple of minutes, too... ;)

I used to get so into April Fool's Day pranks when I worked in a doctor's office. We'd tell the docs on their half day off, this patient was their last and then load them up with more patient charts. Muttering something like there was a mix up in scheduling. I know it sounds pretty lame but at the time, so funny. Best prank I pulled back then was 8 months after I quit and went to college full time (yes, at age 30) I called the office, putting on a cranky voice. I imitated a patient that just drove us nuts, very demanding, never taking no for an answer, even if the doctor was out of town. That sort of person. I persisted in demanding an appt., right away, with my good friend Betty (who became a second mom to me) and then I just couldn't keep it up. Began laughing so hard. She knew it was me - she screamed into the phone - MARY!!!! OH YOU!!!!! We've had 2 work reunions since then (this was a big group, 6 surgeons, 4 offices) and this story usually comes up. I couldn't top that one so I quit my pranking. (I was using a public phone on campus, can you imagine overhearing that conversation? LOL) Oh how I loved this day.......

I remembered in art class, that our teacher told us to get out a pencil and a sheet of paper for a quiz, and everyone was groaning (including me), but she said "April Fools!"

Another thing, last year, my bus driver told us to wait on the bus b/c the staff is gonna do back-pack check to see if there's any cigarettes or marijuana. Some students were cussing, but the driver yelled, "April Fools!"

The April Fools I heard was our radio station was doing the day backwards - the evening DJ's were on in the morning and so on....people were calling in freaking out.
