A feline stowaway? Well, that's a first....I would have made friends with that cat and the plane could have continued on. Wimp pilot!!!

Perhaps the pilot thought the cat had a bomb shoved up its 'blankety blank'.......there could have been a big Cat-as-trophe.......bwahahah!

When I saw Miss Mary was on the board, I thought "oh no, I hope she doesn't see that". I always feel like I have to behave around Miss Mary, kinda like behaving around my strict Grand Mother when I was a kid...lol. Oh well, I can't help myself, everybody knows Grim HATES cats...even my best fluffy friend....FUR.

Maybe they should have attached a puke bag to it's back, and heaved it out like a parachute!!!!!

Alright girl, you are in major trouble now! Now why would you feel you have to behave around me? Could it be that you cause lots of trouble? he he Just kidding with ya Grim...

Well, okay so you really hate cats. You're not alone. Lots of people do. And I just can't figure that one out. I never will. I'm a cat lover. People say - oh they're so aloof, they won't follow you around like a dog does, a dog is man's best friend....well, cats can be your best friend too. I had many cats growing up and my last, a rust colored persian WAS my best friend. Followed me everywhere in the house, no matter where I went. I miss him to this day. Now we have a Golden who is with me all day long. You're gonna think I'm really wacky but I've been known to look into her eyes and ask - are you my cat from long ago reincarnated? LOL

I really wish people wouldn't say they hate cats. Why not say you just don't like them. I wouldn't give you a hard time for that. Hate's such a strong word.... I don't like snakes but I certainly don't hate them. I've come across a few while hiking, they go their way, I go mine. If you leave a cat alone, they'll leave you alone.

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.....

My daughter has a cat...I rescued her from a box in the middle of the road when she was a kitten, obviously sombody wanted her ran over. Anyway this damn cat is the most obnoxiously lovable thing..she must sleep with my daughter...and when my daughter was in NY for the summer..the damn thing would sit on the dining room chair next to me while I am working...and if I didn't pet it...it would reach over with a paw and swipe me...if I still ignored her, she'd lean over and BITE me, she made sure I paid attention to her. She missed my daughter sooo much. And ofcourse there is the kitten that Fur gave me...Jazz. Now I couldn't help but love that cat...she was a tiny little shaded silver Persian...she NEVER got big, even as an adult...but she passed on. So those are my cats... I still HATE the rest of them...lol

See, between fur and I, and that 'obnoxiously lovable thing' of a cat, we'll make a cat lover out of you yet Grim!!! I am surprised this cat pestered you so much though. Cats usually don't do that! Maybe you use catnip for perfume? Boy I'm gonna get it now huh? LOL J/K..... :-)

Of course we could blame this on fur ya know. She probably instructed the cat(s) to bother you so much you'd end up being a cat lover!

I HATE Cats

NAH, I won't change over.....I still hate cats.....I prefer 120lb German Shepards!!!! However, Fur has been looking for over 3 years for a Jazz replacement. I want another cat EXACTLY like Jazz...Fur can't find one ..or breed one that small...it was a freak...maybe that's why I liked it..oh yea...Jazz slept on the pillow with ME...YUK all that long fuzzy hair up my nose all night. But if I threw her out of the bed...she'd hop right back up...one night I threw her outside...a couple minutes later there she was crawling up the outside of my bedroom window screen...looking at me. I had to let her back in!!!! LOL

Sigh, I have zero cats NWIASpotter. My last cat, the persian, was the best one of all and that was back in the late 70s! Fast forward to now and my oldest daughter, 17, we discovered is very allergic to cats. Her eyes swell, she starts to wheeze and is miserable if she's around them too long. And get this - she loves cats too! Not fair we both say. So over the years no matter where I've lived, word gets out to neighborhood cats and they come for a visit. Honest. Now that we have a dog they stay away but before 2000, they'd sit on my porch waiting for me to come out. I'd be working in the yard and I'd hear the bells on one's collar. He'd roll around the grass while I worked. All my neighbors called me the cat lady. In 1999 we had a cat just plop right down in my lap. I saw it hovering in the woods behind our house and I like to pet all cats. So I walked aways, but had to sit down, was recovering from surgery. The cat curled up in my lap and purred. It was so sweet. That cat turns out was a stray and several neighbors all began trying to find homes for it or find the owners. This went on for about 2 months and I couldn't stand it anymore. I wished he had a home and we tried but Nina's eyes were slits one day after sitting outside with him, we dubbed him Shadow b/c he hung around all day. I called all the no-kill shelters, no one would take him. We couldn't find his owners so it didn't seem right to me that he was wandering the woods. I took him to the SPCA, I was crying giving them a glowing report, and he was adopted within 24 hours we were told. The clerk looked at me as if to ask - why are giving this cat away? People said put my daughter on meds but that didn't seem right either - drug your kid so we can have a cat? So there's my cat story. We all still talk about Shadow, we have pictures of him and he has several ornaments that hang on our xmas tree. He got me thru a bad-bad summer following surgery too.

So in a wordy way - I do like to type! - I wish we could have a cat but our Golden will do. We call her half dog/half cat, since she's a cuddler. If only she'd purr! In fact the first time she curled up in my lap and went to sleep, I sighed and said - if only she purred. My family gasped - how can you say such a thing? She's a dog they all said....LOL So Hope does fill my cat void but there's just nothing like when a cat purrs and what I call nurses in your lap. Instant stress releaser for me.

Well sorry to hear about that. All I know is that at my house, we got way to many cats. Since we live on an 10 acre farmhouse it's not as bad as it sounds, but we have 18 CATS right now, 11 are kittens from this spring and fall. We plan to get rid of them as they are just old enough that they don't need their mothers anymore. Haha, well since this reminds me of a story I'll tell it. Since there was 4 mothers that had kittens this spring, 11 kittens total as I said, all of the mothers would accept any cat, even if it wasn't there, usually the mother would kick it away but it didn't. I was personally surprised. Ha I'm starting to sound like you Mary and like you said typing a lot. So...theres my story for now.
