Floridians on "Big Brother?"

I just saw a name here at work and it reminded me of one of the previous Big Brother houseguests (not going to say who because of patient confidentiality). But so far, I only watched the first couple of episodes of this season -- enough to see which two were half-brother and half-sister.

Anyway, seeing the name made me think about the show and reminded me of how the three remaining houseguests were told the news of 9/11 (since, in most cases, they're not allowed news, television, or any "real" contact with the outside world).

Made me wonder -- did the producers tell the housemates about Charley? Are any of them from Florida?

That's a good question, I can't say I have watched it much, so I don't know where they are from. But, I'm sure that if they did live in that area then they should have been told.

I've been monitoring live feed summaries and there hasn't been any talk among the HG's of Charley, leading me to believe they didn't tell them. I don't *think* any of the people are from Florida. I know Marvin is from South Carolina and the twins are from Alabama, but that's about it.

I caught the news about those twins! That's just a trip!

But I'm unclear about one thing -- is the twin who is out of the house still still "sequesterer" or "quarantined" or whatever you'd call it from the outside world? It seems like that would be a lonely way to wait out your turn inside. I'm sure she has to keep up with what's going on inside -- probably gets to watch live feeds free or something in a special room. But I just can't imagine being "outside" for even a day and not getting to talk to anyone or do anything -- just watching the goings on in the house and waiting for a turn to go back inside.

It's gotta be scripted. After all, if it wasn't, the producers wouldn't be able to control who was HOH and who got voted out. So if Arial/Natalie had been voted out first, the producers would have never had the chance to see how long the charade would play out. I think a lot of it's ad-libbed, but most of it is scripted and planned out.

The other twin was sequestered as well. If the house was on PBJ, so was the twin. I would NEVER be able to do that. So lonely and I would have to check the tropics and the news. :)
