SA-6 surface to air missiles found in IRAQ

This isn't good news! The SA-6 is a very capable Russian surface to air missile. These appear to be a new variant of the SA-6, definitely not 12 years old :grrr: :grrr:

My guess is that Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov is getting an earful from Dr. Condoleeza Rice right about now over this one...

Oh, wait we forgot to list that one. Can we get a waiver since it was an honest mistake? Dr. Blix will explain why it was an honest mistake so you won't be mad at us.

The SA-6 is an anti-aircraft missile so I don't think they would have been listed. The curious thing is that they appear to be new so that means that they would have come in after the arms embargo following the 91 war. You can bet we will be asking the Russians some uncomfortable questions as we try and back track them to find out who supplied them to Iraq!
