Flight From Chicago to N.Y. Diverted

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A flight from Chicago to New York City was diverted Tuesday night because of an unspecified security concern, authorities said.

Jacquie Young, a spokeswoman for American Airlines, declined to discuss the problem aboard Flight 346 from Chicago's O'Hare Airport to New York's LaGuardia Airport.

Pittsburgh television stations, citing the Transportation Security Administration, reported that a bomb threat had been found written on a tray table.

TSA officials did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press.

The plane, an MD-80, had 130 passengers and a crew of five on board, Young said.

Passengers were taken off the jet, re-screened and were being put aboard another plane bound for New York late Tuesday, said JoAnn Jenny, a spokeswoman for Pittsburgh International Airport.
