"I'm 49, but I never lived a single day," said Yusuf Abed Kazim, a Baghdad imam who pounded the statue's pedestal with a sledgehammer. "Only now will I start living. That Saddam Hussein is a murderer and a criminal."

"Thank you, thank you, Mr. Bush," some of the looters shouted. An elderly man beat a portrait of Saddam with his shoe, while a younger man spat on the portrait.

Most Iraqis really seem to understand our point of being in their country trying to and eventually bring freedom to them. Glad they appreciate our efforts. It has only been three weeks today since Operation Iraqi Freedom began, too. Quite fast! :D

Will be interesting to see how much longer it takes to finish up the main factors of this war.

I saw this evening on the world news a pic of an Iraqi child kissing a U.S. soldier, too. :)

This type of picture is exactly why I was for this war from the start!! Brings tears to my eyes when I see those small children hugging US troops and British troops. France Russia and Germany are so blinded by political propaganda they failed to see the real people of Iraq and how they have been tormented for decades!!! And shame on our Hollywood liberals who denounced the liberation of Iraq. May their careers be flushed down the toilet!!
