Rumsfeld insinuated that WMD may be in Syria

#1 Postby cycloneye » Wed Apr 09, 2003 2:00 pm

In his press conference a reporter asked him about where the WMD from Iraq might be and Rumsfeld said that Syria has to answer a lot of questions about WMD from Iraq and why they are letting in military things into Iraq but he didn't elaborate nothing more about that.

But clearly the US is looking very closely to Syria because they are a terrorist state and are at the list of the terrorists countries that the US has.

I 've heard over and over that Syria is considered numero uno in the world of Terrorism. It would seem likely they are on our short list in regards to the War on Terrorism.

If there is evidence of WMD from Iraq in Syria the US will have to take action about that.

It May Be

that the WMDs are indeed in Syria-since Ba'ath Party rules there as well, however, it would not be sound politically to go after Syria ourselves-best to leave that chore to someone who has dealt with them before and they will if it is found that the WMDs are indeed there.

I agree Steve. Also, wouldn't our intelligence have picked up some kind of activity by these other country's boarders?

One Would Hope That

our Intelligence would pick up on that. As far as Syria's Forces are concerned, they are just about the right size to have had their ***es whipped by the Israelis who would be happy to do it again to prevent those WMDs from getting into the hands of terrorist groups based in Syria.

Now Bush said yesterday that Syria must not harbor the family and other exregime people in that country and also he talked about the WMD that they may have from Iraq but I dont think that military action against Syria will happen.

So what Donald Rumsfeld said last week now Bush confirms it.
