Confirmed. It will start at 8am EDT and last 3-4 hours. They will NOT stop his heart during the procedure. He will be in the hospital 3-5 days and then it will take about a month for him to fully recover.

My best wishes to him and his family and friends. :(

His arteries were over 90% blocked. They said there was a high likelihood of a severe heart attack in the near future had the problems not been found.

I'm very happy it was a successful surgery also. When he recovers Bill Clinton could have another career just by showing him choosing healthy options at fast food restaurants! Imagine the ads for that.... Unlike the fries he used to devour....and as if anything in a fast food restaurant is healthy.

Just glad he's doing okay. I wish him a great recovery.

Yeah, we don't need 2 ex-presidents dying in a year.

He was very lucky indeed!

I was thinking the same thing Miss Mary - I know his diet wasn't the best.

I hope that he has a speedy recovery as well.

Miss Mary, I couldn't help but think of all of the times that the media
showed him jogging with Secret Service, and, where would they end up?
Mickie D's for a Big Mac and fries, hangin' with the locals! Now, he's had
quad by-pass surgery... I'm sure they can afford an in-home dietary
consultant - that option might be a lifesaver!

I'm glad he's ok, too. Life is full of unplanned changes.
