Dead or Alive???
With U.S. Forces Taking Baghdad, Search for Missing Pilot Can Expand

Image

April 10 — There is hope that the mystery of what happened to Capt. Michael "Scott" Speicher, a U.S. Navy pilot whose plane was shot down on the first night of the 1991 Gulf War, could be resolved now that coalition forces are taking control of Baghdad.

This would be wonderful news if they find this pilot and he can return home to his family. Praying hard they find him.

I'm hoping and praying for a miracle....for over a dozen miracles, one a brave young helicopter pilot from my hometown.

Yes it would be a definite miracle if he were to be found alive. It has been 12 years since he was shot down. I believe all POW's are in Tikrit.

Sure would be a miracle. Twelve years in captivity and found, boy what a story that would be!

The only thing is, this will still end up being a sad story. Because he was originally listed as KIA (I think), his wife got on with her life, married his best friend, who is the father her children needed. If they do find him alive, I feel for him, having gone through all he went through, to have to come home to another heartache.
