Killer Bees Attack Man, Kill Dog
DALLAS, Texas (KXAS TV) -- Investigators in Irving believe killer bees attacked a man and killed his dog.
The attack happened Monday at a home in the 2000 block of Irving Boulevard.
Police said a man opened a shed to get out his lawnmower when thousands of bees attacked him.
The man survived the attack, however the bees killed the family's dog chained to a post outside.
Police said the family is taking steps to have the beehive removed from the shed.

Well that's comforting to hear seeing as how I have a fear of bees, lol. A few years ago I was stung about 15 times by yellow jackets

Glad the man got away but the poor dog couldn't.
Stooge - I'm beginning to wonder if Texas is just swarming with bees now (your multiple bee sting topics lately!).

Behive Terrorizes Family
Thousands Of Bees Attack When Man Opens Shed
IRVING, Texas (KXAS TV) -- Experts Tuesday removed thousands of bees and a hive from an Irving home where a family was attacked and their dog later died.
Angela Queen and her family were attacked Monday outside the house in the 2000 block of Irving Boulevard as they were putting together a backyard barbecue. Irving firefighters arrived and used foam to repel the bees.
The family's pet boxer was tied to a tree and was stung several hundred times. The dog was taken to a veterinarian, where it was put down. Authorities later went through the home and determined a 50-pound hive was concealed inside.
The hive was between the ceiling of the ground level and the floor of the second story. The honeycomb at some points was up to 1 foot wide and several feet long.
Tests will be done to determine if the swarm included any Africanized honey bees, which are known to be aggressive.
