Christians, Jews, and Muslims for that matter. I just don't believe that anyone can say where the GOE was.

Thats true - but this is the first time that I heard of it being in Iraq.

Ticka, it was one of the very first things that amazed me about Iraq also that the biblical city of Babylon was there too. Very interesting area of the world SOOO rich in history.

Actually, the GOE is NOT in present-day Iraq...there were FOUR rivers that converged into it, right?
Only three are still flowing, but satellite imagery has shown that the fourth river is now a dry wadi crossing northern Saudi Arabia.
With a little triangulation, the site of the Garden is at present 50 miles ESE of Basra...under the waters of the Persian Gulf.
