Peterson investigators examine bodies of woman, baby

RICHMOND, California (CNN) -- Modesto police investigating the disappearance of Laci Peterson, the pregnant woman missing since Christmas Eve, arrived in Richmond, California, on Monday to examine two bodies, one a woman, one a baby, that have washed ashore in a park in the past two days.

Heard it walking out the door this morning. Hope they solve this case now. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

this is sickening. Full term male fetus! Defenseless woman 1 month shy of giving birth. I can't think of a punishment cruel enough for the perpetrator of this hideous crime.

totally bizarre that a man would be so stupid to dispose of the bodie(s) in close proximity to the location he gave police as to his whereabouts the day she dissapeared.
Makes you wonder now doesn't it???

This case broke my heart. A beautiful young woman about to give birth to her first child. How heartbreaking. And if it turns out to be Scott Peterson I hope he gets his day, soon.

Haven't heard anything yet either, this is so sad, I just have this awful feeling that it is Laci and her baby I hope I'm wrong

It almost has to be Laci and her baby. They said the female was wearing maternity clothes and the baby still had it's umbilical cord.

It will take time to identifie those bodies to see if it is Laci Petterson and the baby but we will know sooner rather than later.

Nothing came out of that press conference still don't know, of course this one was the corner's office, they say another one at 4 Eastern from Medesto Police
