Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of y'all have dealt with the trauma of parkinson's disease either personally or know someone that is going through it. I just need some advice on general diagnosis techniques etc. Thanks :)

Galveston Duck/Shawn is a good member to ask medical type questions. She's busy with a new office move (how's that going BTW Shawn?) but I'll bump this up so she sees it.

I seem to google everything now. My family teases me but you can find a lot of info online. Some are just message board responses but sometimes you can pull up pages from reputable hospitals, such as the Mayo Clinic.

Finally, I rely upon WebMD frequently now when wanting to learn more about a medical condition. Try their main page here:

A dear friend of ours has been battling Parkinsons for many years. There is much progress in the battle, and some good meds to help you through. We'll see how the advice shows up here on this post...and meanwhile I'll ask him if there is any good source for info online.

I just remembered Michael J. Fox is battling Parkinson's and found his website:

Hope these links help.

JQ, here's another - we have this site set as the
homepage at the office. This is the page for
Parkinson's, but, you can search and access
any neurological disorder:
