Who is that? lol

That's the guy was was married to pregnant Laci Peterson who has been missing since Christmas. They found a body of a woman and baby this last week.

Huh? What? Is it her body?

Dunno about the tests yet, just know he was arrested in San Diego a short while ago

They have not confirmed it, but there must be some proof somewhere or they would not have arrested him. Sorry I should have mentioned who Scott was. I just took it foregranted that everyone knew.

I wonder what will happen...

MSNBC is reporting that there is a arrest warrant out for Scott Peterson (report from their NBC affliate in San Jose, California).

The Fox News Channel is reporting that he has been arrested for the murder of this wife and newborn baby, Connor.

CNN is also reporting that he has been arressted for murder.

I believe the investigators had enough evidence to get an arrest warrant and convene a grand jury back in February. But without a body it would be hard to convict. I believe that they will announce that she has been identified as Laci and her little baby Connor.

"Emasculation without representation" would be too good for him; public execution by way of televised drowning after disembowelment...ah, for the good old days!

They should tie anchors to him and through him in the bay! Save us all a trial!

My first response was - Yes!!! Then I realized how very sad once again this situation is. The picture of a smiling Laci tells it all. She was one sweet young woman just about to embark on motherhood. How anyone could do this, even to his own flesh and blood, is beyond me. And once again, I think the kindest thing would have been to just walk away or get an attorney. It's pretty clear he didn't want to be married or a father. So very, very sad. She was such a beautiful person it seems. Right now she should be rocking her baby. I feel such profound sadness for her family but at the same time justification that Scott was arrested. I've always said he did it, from the first few minutes I heard the story back on Christmas Day.

Kathy and I are in San Diego...arrived a few hours ago. Lots of hype about Scott Peterson here.

It will be interesting to see how they build their case if indeed he is charged in the disappearance and death of Laci and infant son.

Scott will be charged with Capital Murder. Two counts of homicide. The charges will enable the prosecuters to seek the death penalty if they desire.

Marshall as sad as it is I doubt that he will be charged with capital murder in the death of that little baby. They would have to prove that the baby ever took his first breath. I know that sounds harsh, but it is the reality of that situation. I am sure if they get Dr. Michael Baden he will be able to determine if the baby ever took a breath of life. Do not be a bit surprised if they charge him with manslaughter in the death of that baby, unless it can be proved what I mentioned above. If it can be done, Dr. Baden can do it.

I don't get something, or maybe it's cuz I don't WANT to get it. Assuming the bodies are ID'd to be them ... She turned up missing a couple months before her due date, yet that baby was delivered. Has there been speculation on how? What's your take on that?

isobar.......the forensic scientist I listened to the other morning explained this by saying that the baby was protected from damage or deterioration because of the protection of being inside the mothers body. As the mothers body deteriorated, the tiny infant drifted loose. This explained the varying amount of deterioration found in both bodies. Hope this helps.......p

petal*pusher is correct isobar, which in my opinion leads me to believe that Connor took his first breath before drowning. Writing that part down is very hard!
