CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- It wasn't exactly speaking in tongues.
But members of a church in Chesapeake watched as their minister softly "quacked" and led 13 ducklings from their nest into a nearby pond.
Aldersgate United Methodist Church is built around an enclosed courtyard where a female mallard had laid her eggs.
After they hatched, she was able to fly to the pond, but the ducklings couldn't join her without going through the church.
That's when the Rev. Robert Cofield showed his leadership skills, quacking and leading his waddling flock like a true shepherd.
When the mama duck saw her babies enter the pond, her quacking drowned out the preacher, and the ducklings left him and swam out for a family reunion.
