The worst jobs in America!

TD (Training & Development) magazine recently rated the 10 worst jobs based on entries to worstjob.com. You can take heart in that none of them involved marketing, graphic design or print production positions. We think you'll also agree that probably your worst day doesn't compare with the every day responsibilities associated with most of these jobs. Here's the list, beginning with the worst of the worst:

Prison guard
Human-remains removal specialist (This wasn't #1!)
Grocery-store bathroom cleaner
Ham skinner
Waitress (Must not be as fun to wait on as we think.)
Housewife (Still not helping around the house, eh guys?)
Internet service provider (Getting close to home.)
Cancellation-service person
Credit-card customer service rep
Teacher (Certainly not if they have any of our children.)
Cashier

I'd take any of those over being a roofer any day. I can't STAND to sweat for too long and I'd absolutely hate to spend all day up on a black roof in 90ยบ heat!

I'm surprised

I think maybe I'm hurricane-addled today. I read this list over a few times and I couldn't make sense of a few of these positions:

Ham skinner. At first I thought it had something to do with amateur radio, but quickly realized my mistake......What's worse I wonder about getting the skin off a ham than another meat? Where does a person get training for this position?

Grocery-store bathroom cleaner. Again I'm puzzled. Based on my own personal experience, I think it would be a lot worse to be a rest room cleaner in a gas station or bus station. Then again, maybe some of those places don't have dedicated bathroom cleaners. The people who clean those bathrooms do other things, like work as cashiers, which is also a job on the list.

Internet service provider. I've yet to meet a person who could provide Internet service for another person. Maybe that's what makes this job so difficult?

Okay, I think we can see that Hurricane Jeanne has destroyed critical brain cells, along with destroying my backyard storage shed and everything in it. I think I need a break........
