Hey ya'll. We're going to be in Galveston May 4th and May 10th...let's plan a meet up. Email me or email OtherHD, as he is trying to make this happen! Sounds like fun, huh?

Ticka, I e-mailed Houstonia just now about it, since she organized the last get-together. Plus she was asking about it earlier in the year. Anyway, I hope you all are free that day...we'll try and get something organized and planned for the 4th or 10th.

I by no means want to start a problem here. Just an observation; so I figured I'd ask... A 16 and 33 year old are interested in meeting each other through this board, with others?
If this is going to open up a can of worms, then lets stop it here. I apologize for bringing an issue that came to mind. Thank you in advance.

Actually, I do see your concern, but let me stop it at that.

I'll be in the area with my family, husband, and 2 children, going on a cruise, and have spoken to some others from the area about getting together to meet for lunch or dinner. Since HD is from there, we invited him, and made it an open invite to any and all that can meet up! Its really fun to meet your weather friends, and I've met many! Furthermore, it seems a yearly gathering for the local weather friends to meet up, before hurricane season. Wish I had known everyone for last years meet up!Hope you are able to join also!

I appreciate the response, Shannon.
I think it is nice to meet members of this board. I just thought the ages were a bit spread out when I first read the thread. I knew that there was hope for more than the three people you indicated to meet each other.
I am from central Florida, as I am sure you know by now. As you may also know I have difficulty corresponding with people face to face. So, there is no way my parents would think flying to Texas from central Florida would make much sense. I am glad I have met everyone here at Storm2K and we will see what happens in the future.
I could be the most outgoing 25 year old and I am not sure if I would just go somewhere to meet people from this great "family."

Thats understandable Tom, we're all made up differently.

Hopefully you can take "the plunge" one day and meet up with some online friends

, but if you're not comfortable, then thats understandable too. People form some really neat bonds with others online and its often a blessing to be able to share a meal, or a laugh "in person" and put faces with those you spend so much time getting to know online. This will shock you, no doubt, but my husband and I met online, at TWC, and he's the best friend I've ever had! We are very lucky we took the chance to meet!

OK...whoever comes needs to bring rain gear...we're in for some wet wet weather....what better circumstances to bring weather loving friends together, then a bad storm! Tornado warnings here as we speak...stay dry!
