Good morning.

I just had an online conversation with Gulfbreezer (Sandi).

She is fine now, but recovering physically and emotionally from an exhausting encounter with Hurricane Ivan. Seems she lost her home and everything she owns to the winds and high water he brought.

She has asked me to share with you that she is safe and OK, as are her sons. At the moment she needs support and prayers and warm wishes.

She is temporarily on dialup for her internet connection and living elsewhere, so she may not respond. She needs a dose of S2k warmth, hugs, and handholding to help regain her strength and resolve on recovery.

Her email address is gulfbreezer@seminoles.com

She would appreciate hearing from you via email. Please be compassionate and understanding of her ordeal.

She is normally a very giving soul who this time needs something given back.

Thank you Steve, for sharing with us. I've often wondered how she was faring...thanks for providing means of contact with her. I've been there, and understand what she's going through, the mental damage is as bad as the physical damage in cases like this. I'll email her now...thanks

Steve - without even asking, Sandi has my support. I can't even imagine what she's going thru right now but I will certainly write to her and lend much needed support. Thanks for updating us on how she's doing Steve. I know many, many members asked about her in the chat room during Ivan's height. She was a mainstay in the chat room, lending support to others in the paths of Charley and Frances. Then when she wasn't online anymore so many feared for her safety. I will tell her so, she had many people praying for her and her sons.

I recieved an e-mail this afternoon from her. She says: "I do have a wonderful support system and with God on my side, how can I go wrong? Rebuilding is going to be tough but I will do it better and come out stronger than ever...........thanks again for your prayers and heartfelt concern."
I think we all are with her in this. When Ivan did it's damage, it didn't just take its emotional toll on her, but it did on us as well. I believe with the storm2k prayer warrior team on her side she will be able to do as she says. With God's help and that of the S2K Mighty Prayer Warriors, she will come back stronger than ever!

I can't thank all of you enough for the wonderful words and prayers. You are all truly a gift from God! At some point this week I will be posting pics on my website and you can take a look, this area still looks like a war zone even 3 weeks later. I am not in this boat alone, there are so many homeless families here. Thanks again to ALL of you for continuing to keep all of us in your prayers.

Thanks for checking in Sandi! :) I have missed you lately, along with many others I am sure. Please take all the time that you need to recover and come back when you are ready, not one second sooner. Don't rush things. :)

Sandi, I hope you come out of this situation
even better than before! You keep that chin
up, and, know that you are loved here, and,
even though life looks so dreary and unfortunate,
right now, we are here for you!
