I wanted to let all of you know how much I appreciate the responses I got to a question I posted in Tropics! Honestly, I have never felt that feeling from ANY other board! I have always thought twice about posting questions b/c some of the responses I would get would be sarcastic and it kept me from being the inquisitive person that I am. Every response I have ever gotten on the S2K board has been so incredibly helpful and everyone is so nice. I joined this board in 2002 and really just forgot about it after the cane season and just recently came back. I won't leave again, you all have made this a safe haven for all who join and are looking for knowledge and friendhip. You all really deserve a pat on the back for what you have accomplished here and I would recommend this site to anyone!

That is exactly why we started storm2k Gulfbreezer..

We were tired of the jerky responces we would receive on other boards, when we would ask a simple question... Some people seem to forget that they had to ask questions to get to the point they are today.. :roll:

But thankfully we have STORM2K, THE BEST PLACE ON THE NET!! This is one of the many things that seperates us from the rest!

Gulfbreezer that is why storm2k is very different from the rest of the boards because we hepl the members if there is a question about the tropics and about any topic.

I repeat again about storm2k being the best source for tropical weather information because we have plenty of experts that will provide all the veridic information about the tropics:)

Gulf, that is one of the reasons why I came to truly love this place. I have never been flammed,ignored or had my feelings hurt by a rude and nasty answer to a question. Everyone here is always willing to help, and it is always done in the nicest of way's

I know what you mean,Gulfbreezer.I used to get shot down at other boards just for asking questions or voicing an opinion. No backlash or anything,I just left and didn't go back.As a result,last year I could count on one hand how many times I visited any board. I figured they were all the same. David (vbhoutex) invited me here and I love it. Not to mention all the different forums they have. I wish I'd have known about this one last year.

Welcome. We all have a great time here. I know you'll be happy here, as am I.

I know exactly what you mean GulfBreezer. I have asked questions at another board without a single response before. That has never happened here. Not to mention the continuous fussing, fighting, sarcasm, etc. you find at other boards!!

I feel the same way. It is a relief to not get bashed when you offer an opinion on this board either and then have to get into the thick of things. Glad Miss Mary helped me see the light.

I couldn't agree more. I appreciate everyone's understanding on issues I bring up and respond to. We are here for discussion; no matter what the subject, weather or non-weather related.

I am sure many of us wouldn't visit here as often as we do, if we didn't really feel comfortable being here we wouldn't show up. 8)

I look forward to anything I can assist Storm2K as I read through the threads and posts. Thank you very much.

Another happy member here too! And today I proudly wore my STORM2K t-shirt all over town ... at my kids' school, Walgreens, Target, and the Newburgh, Indiana Post Office.

BTW, if you order the baby doll t-shirt, get a larger size cuz they run small. :wink:

And I have Eric/Skywatch_NC to thank for referring me to Storm2K! At the time I was comtemplating leaving TWC boards for good and didn't know where to go next. He thought I'd be happy here and so gave me the link. I'm so grateful he did! Thanks to the Admin for a superb atmosphere here on all the Forums! It truly feels like home to me now. This is my first stop when I log on, before checking my email sometimes! That's saying quite a lot.

Dennis - I agree, the second you join it seems, you have a welcome topic posted. That in itself I think is the nicest thing they do here - welcome newcomers in such a sincere way! They make you feel very comfortable at posting, you just jump right on in!
