Well.... not yet. But, probably if I ever hit 18,000 posts, just the laws of probability will dictate that I'd say YES!!

I mean looking back on, not actually at the moment and shortly after you made the post.

Also, not including those that may have caused problems with fellow members.

Many, many times during the past five years online....at many different forums, some weather related, some not :(

We're all human Tom....we all sometimes post things out of stress or emotion we regret; sometimes regretted quickly, sometimes days or weeks down the road. All we can do is pledge to try our best not to make the same mistake again...

Sure, that happens Perry.

Again, I am referring to the unimportant, non-confrontational interactions. Just simply something you posted that you thought you shouldn't have; being it something you didn't say quite right and/or surprised you will let an online community know about.

Yes I did. Most definitely. I still don't know why and continue to think it was a bad decsion on my part to talk about my SI on here.

You felt you needed to talk to people you met online. Was it not helpful? :)

Well yes... but I don't know what drove me to do it. I look back on it and don't like it because now it makes me become upset when I come close to doing it... cause now I have people on here who look up to me (sort of) and look forward to my posts. That's why I wish I had never told people on here... OH I DON'T KNOW!!!

Sure - that's why I use that delete option.....I've started a few topics and promptly deleted them, a few times!

Usually, I'm using the edit option more, seeing typo's I made.

I was about to say the same thing Miss Mary. If I don't like it, I edit or delete it. And hope that not too many people have read it, lol.

You are unable to delete posts you make after someone responds in a thread. As I mentioned, the majortiy, if not all of the posts I am referring to are hours old.

There are times I like to edit my posts, rather than delete, which is allowable and well appreciated.

I assume this is the way Marhsall and Chad want it and only they can change the feature.

I've replied to someone a couple of times for a particularly (IMO) ignorant observation he once made -- and then deleted it right away. :) I helped to type it out and hit "submit" just to get it out there for a split second.

I wouldn't recommend it though. It would be particularly risky during busy posting times because you can't delete once a reply follows your own post...although you could edit really quickly and clear your post that way.

(Edit -- yeah, how Tom just explained it. :) )

I wish we had the ability to delete any post we make.
