A unique date in the annals of baseball history will be recorded Wednesday, Oct. 27 when for the first time a total lunar eclipse will occur during a World Series game.
Millions of Americans watching Game 4 will also be able to partake in one of nature’s most beautiful sky shows, as Earth's shadow begins to cover the Moon during the early innings.
Weather permitting, the eclipse will be visible to fans with a good line of site at Busch Memorial Stadium. And, if FOX television producers so choose, the potential exists for this to be the biggest audience ever to see a lunar eclipse televised live.

That's pretty amazing. I hope they show it, but with it being the World Series, I wouldn't have my hopes up.

Clear skies expected (no surprise) for the eclipse across central Florida, at the very least.

I was figuring a copper color.
I remember about 7 years ago, my son noticed an october full moon that had a pretty orange color.
At about 3 years old, he called it a
"punkin pie moon"

Get your camera ready for a perfectly timed Full Lunar Eclipse for East Coast viewers. According to Sky and Telescope the first shading will occur around 8:45pm, then the partial eclipse will start at 9:14pm, with totality starting at 10:23pm and lasting 1 hour and 22 minutes until 11:45pm with the last visible shading ending around 1:25am. All times are Eastern Daylight Time. Try and estimate how dark the moon is by using the Danjon Scale This will be one of the last total lunar eclipses available until 2007. Try dusting off your camera and getting some photographs of the eclipse.
