Sad news from the world of wrestling....

I don't normally post when a former professional wrestler passes away, but this was a special lady. I'm not sure of the circumstances of her death; but was both honored and privileged to meet
Miss Elizabeth (Elizabeth Hewitt) on several occasions while providing security at the Omni and other Atlanta area wrestling venues. Liz was a sweetheart....always very polite and charming, with a kind word for us guys providing Event Security. She will be missed
My humble condolences to her family, friends, and fans everywhere.

(it is now confirmed per WSB radio it was Miss Elizabeth

Unless my memory is way off base, "Miss Elizabeth" was never an active wrestler, but a "ringside companion" (and possibly "manager"?) to such as Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, "kidnapped" by the then-"NWO" once and "rescued" by Sting, etc. over the course of her career. Her persona was that of a gracious, and somewhat naive and trusting lady....never showing up scantly clad, no "four-letter" T-shirts bearing her name, etc. As far as "pro" wrestling goes, she WAS a "class act".
And she has been around a long time in the nationally telecast wrestling circuit...at least beginning the mid-1980's (when I started seeking out more substantive fare on my tube) in the WWF, NWA and WCW.
Just checked with my stepson for validation (he's still very much into it), and got confirmation of my assessment as given above.

Mobilheimen nichts fur Mammis leiblings, Arizwx...besides, it was a "gift" from her mother to induce us to move here w/o paying rent.
My I.Q. dropped 15 points the moment I walked in the front door, and I had a sudden craving for catfish, plaid shirts, bib overalls, Wild Turkey and Waylon Jennings albums... :o

So,I'm sorry,man..but I'm not in a real terrific space to be discussing dead wrestlers.

Hw sad

Hopefully there was no foul play. But think about the publicity it would get if it was! My prayers to the families and friends of "Miss Elizabeth"
