can I see the northern lights tonight? I am positive that is what I am seeing... it is so neat looking!

All I saw was big, fat, BEAUTIFUL Orion in the east..."my" constellation since I was small, due to the fact that it was right there at sunset on my birthday, looking out the front door of my childhood home.

yup, they were out here, but I didn't get a chance to see them with all the lights around the city.

We could see them here even with the lights of the city. Our local NWS got a snapshot of it, too. Check it out.

Wow!! What a shot!!! Even though I have doubts that we can see anything this far South, especially with the city lights here in Houston, I will sure be looking. If I see a hint I will hop in the old carraige and take a ride out to the country for sure.
