LI Churches on alert
Monday November 15, 2004

HUNTINGTON, Long Island (AP) Federal officials are investigating a letter that was sent from Queens to the Kentucky headquarters for Presbyterian churches threatening violence. Local church leaders say they've been put on alert.

News 12 Long Island says the Pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church in Huntington got an e-mail from from the church headquarters warning of the threat. The letter said that churches would be burned down with people inside because the church has decided to support Jewish groups that believe Christ was the Messiah.

News 12 says the F-B-I and bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is investgating.

Now that's an oxymoron....Jewish groups that believe Christ was the MEssiah....ARGH!!! No such thing!!! Jews for Jesus arent Jews!!! Hello!?!?!?!

what about her? Her father was Jewish, her mother a born-again Christian (as is Kathie Lee). Birthright is passed through the maternal side, not the father.

Jews do not believe Jesus is the Messiah. So, if there are Jews for Jesus, they're not Jews. I dont know one single temple/synagogue that recognizes Jews for Jesus as Jewish.

I thought she was one who professed to be a "Jew for Jesus," a term I've heard in reference to other people also. I understand what you're saying though -- it's like Christians for Astrology or something.

I hear ya. it drives me CRAZY!!!

Sorta like my sister saying she's Orthodox but eating bacon (because she likes it) and Moo Shu pork (because it doesnt count if it's take-out Chinese food...) ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!

I remember several years ago, on Real World or Road Rules or something like that, a girl claimed she didn't eat pork and wouldn't engage in a challenge to dunk for pig feet in a bucket of water. Yet, she ate a sausage egg McMuffin for breakfast earlier in the episode. She was adamant about not touching those pig's feet and cried about her teammates being upset with her for not being up for the challenge (which wouldn't have even involved eating them). Then one of the guys asked her about her breakfast and she swore up and down she thought it was beef. Hello??? Sausage?

I couldnt sleep one night and was just surfing around. It was either on VH1 or MTV. Must have been VH1 because MTV is all rap crap now...
