Nah, look below the bids page
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 5535890757 at the cancellations and retractions. Someone can jump in and place a bid for that much, but it has to be verified and approved. I'm willing to bet there will be administration cancellations for those.
It might go for several thousand dollars (starting bid was $3000), but I just don't believe serious bids will go into the millions.
It's crazy anyway. It's a sandwich, for Pete's sake!

In that case, no one could possibly afford to win that auction.

Wow. That's a lot to keep in your PayPal account.

They've retracted another 15 or so bids -- it's down to $69,107.69 now.

How does she know it's the Virgin Mary? Does anyone have a picture of the Virgin Mary? Looks a little like Betty Boop to me.
Barnum was right.

I would like all bidders to know that this item is not intended for consumption, it is intended for collectable purposes only
Thanks for clearing that up. I really had a hankering for a $19,000 half-eaten slice of a 10-year old sandwich.

Very interesting -- her last two feedback comments are for items never received. One of them was for a boxing glove signed by Ali. Hmmmmm... I'm beginning to wonder if something's up.

They may have received them by now. She explained that the hurricanes caused trouble with shipping. That was a big problem for a lot of Ebayers this past season.
