WxChat.com is changing.....

It has been brought to the staffs attention that the rules are a bit strict and may infringe on a persons right to state their opinion without reprisal.
As the owner of WxChat.com I want to personally apologize to each and every one of you for this. When this site was set up I wanted it to be a place where peeps could come and discuss the weather and other things that go on in this World. The Rules that were originally set up were for the posters protection in mind. (No Flaming) However it seems that this rule was interpreted wrong by many people including myself and some individuals got punished for it and again I apologize for this also.

How is WxChat going to change?? The rules are going to be changed...the NO Flaming rule will be removed and replaced with "please do not personally attack fellow members "....I feel that an attack and a flame are perceived as two different things...
For instance if a member said to another member that post is dumb this would be a flame.... but if that same poster would say YOU ARE AN IDIOT then that would be an attack. Also debates are welcome and encouraged to take form and grow. There is nothing wrong with a good debate! Its great to read about other peeps opinions and thoughts on any given subject matter as long as attacks are limited and that each individual can speak their opinion without reprisal.

SO I invite you to come and see the NEW IMPROVED WxChat.com where the staff is there for help not to be COPS looking for someone to dare them to ban them and the Admins are open to all of the members thoughts, opinions and suggestions.

Also don't forget to check out the newest addition to our site! A "Get Things Off Your Chest" fourm...a place where you can just GO OFF and let it fly griping and ranting about what upsets you or just really irritates you.

I kinda liked your "strict" rules, it certainly helped keep out the "garbage"..but whatever you feel is best for the site is the way to go

I guess by that definition we don't allow flaming or personal attacks..

I feel, as a supermod on WxChat, that this is necessary in order to turn the site around from the low point that it had hit.

I understand the decision that was made but I disagree. With a few exceptions, we have proven you can disagree without resorting to "flaming". There's just no need to call someone's ideas dumb (even if they are) Sometimes you just have to sit back and not respond when someone hits a sensitive issue.

I am really not sure and I don't know why anyone here or those that mainly post at WxChat really know why members that have joined and haven't posted one single message.

I am at a loss folks today we have had 3 members personally ask for their accounts to be deleted they hardly ever posted or never at all but I have no clue how to revive WxChat...... I thought that this would be a better change we will see but so far I am not impressed

Aaron... you can't make everyone happy all the time. I like wxchat, but with most of my time spent here I don't have a whole lot of time to post there.

That's strange Aaron. As I have been saying right along... I don't see why members joined and I am unsure of specific problems. Hmmm.

Aaron, we've had members do the same. Some people really enjoy the flaming and such but we've said from day one it's better to stay small and keep the quality up!You have a quality board at WxChat! Keep the faith Bro!
