Many people do not believe that dolphins do protect swimmers-that it was just a myth. I can personally attest to the fact that it is not a myth. I have been surfing(many years and MANY pounds ago!)and had dolphins intervene between sharks they thought were threatening me and my friends. We all made it safely to shore and watched them actually "herd" the sharks away from our area. Truly an amazing thing to see.
