a little easier for this family.
My original post is just below this paragraph- I am changing the topic so maybe we can find some others that might be able to reach out and help these girls , season. Even $5 would help. All we need is lots of them. We have set up an account for these girls to help make life a little easier on them. They literally have no home after Dec. 31, other than to stay with friends. If interested please contact me through pm for info on how to help and where to send donations.

Please pray for friends of ours - last night he (the Dad) died of a massive heart attack in front of his 2 little girls. just a year ago he divorced their mom because she refused to get help for rx substance abuse - once he got her in treatment but she left and he then tried to have her committed to get her help and couldn't. During this time she proceeded to wipe out their savings and checking accounts. and when he tried to have her committed she went to their home and burned it to the ground. she told the neighbors she did it, therefore ins. wouldn't pay and she was arrested and is now in jail. these little girls and their older sister literally have nothing right now. the older sister who has been in college a couple of hours away is moving back to take care of her sisters. she is only 22 herself. this family needs your prayers in the worst way.

thanks guys for all the prayers. We are setting up a fund in the oldest daughters name at our bank on Monday. Jessica is 22 and is applying for custody of her sisters asap. The service is going to be on Sunday - unfortunately they cannot afford a casket, etc. so they are having him cremated. Jessica is quitting school to take care of them (she wants to be a teacher) hopes to go back some day. Unfortunately they also don't think they will be able to live in the townhouse dad had gotten recently. We are going to apply to Extreme Makeover - home edition and see if they would be willing to rebuild their home for them.
Please keep the prayers going. The poor little girls (Darby and Shelby) haven't shed a tear yet. It is so sad.
For anyone wanting to donate I can send you the address of the bank and who to make the funds payable to.
Thanks again guys for your prayers and thoughts.

Yes, please send me the name of the account to write the check to and the name and address for the bank. I'll send $100.

Also - what about any Christmas gifts for the 3 girls?

Be sure to send a press release to the newspaper. Lots of people will send to such a cause, especially at Christmas time.

Do you know where Jessica was in college?

That's the saddest situation I've heard in a long time. Praying hard for those girls.
Is there any extended family around? Agree that getting the word out to the community and local churches w/b beneficial. There must be some way for the oldest girl to be able to stay in school.
