Thanks rs, Eric!
Awesome....I was in PA last May and we were on the PA turnpike a couple of times......the tunnels were so awesome!
There was also this back road (PA 455??) where we got lost and asked for directions....but where we stopped was this really small brook with a little wooden bridge over it with tulips, roses, and other flowers planted by it with green grass and a rustic wooden house in the background. It was so awesome!

I forget what # interstate it is...but one time my family took a route through areas like Carlisle, Dubois and Breezewood...but my favorite route in that state is the Turnpike...and yes I love those tunnels, too!

Time to put on those headlights, Dad!

Carlisle is where 81 and 76 (Turnpike) intersect
The turnpike is I-70/76 to Breezewood where I-70 goes south and I-76 continues east to Harrisburg.

Thank you very much!
Also, a past job supervisor I had before I moved to Raleigh...she is a native of Sharon, PA (Mercer County) and her brothers and their families still live in and around that area!

Congratulations! Good luck in State College. I met some wonderful weather friends there back about 1988, and I have not forgotten that trip.
You are right..the campus is beautiful!

Congratulations, Doctor, I am PSU class of 1981. I grew up about two hours south of there, worked there for about 8 years, and now am about an hour north of there. Feel free to PM me anytime.
Annette, the only things at Breezewood are truck stops, restaurants, motels, a greyhound bus hub, fast food places and an adult book store.

Wow!! Big change from Gulf Breeze!!! And an excellent choice for a school!!! My Dad grew up in Carbondale in NE PA in the Poconos. I can honestly say that there isn't a place in PA I have been that I didn't find very nice, but I haven't been there in decades either.
Oh Congrats on your acceptance too!

Civil Engineering.
I found work in State College after I graduated and stayed there for about 8 years. Those were the days!
Every time I go back, I am amazed at how much things are changing. They are constantly building new things there. And the town is growing by leaps and bounds.
I think you'll like it, Doctor. Are you going to live on campus?
