Most of my shopping is done. I just have to get a gift for someone in my daylily club , we have our Christmas party on the 12. I also have to get a sleeping bag zipper to fix a sleeping bag for grandson out of fleece. Now if I could buy enough time to make the bathrobe for my hubby out of the fleece I bought for that. My sisters are taken care of and my kids have had their gifts picked out. Oldest son is getting a 128mb compact flash card for his digital Rebel camera, daughter is getting Epson digital camera (I don't use anymore) with all its accessories and a Boyds Bear animal. Youngest son is getting a CD holder for his truck visor that will hold 20 CDs. I will have to ship the CD Holder to him since he will not be able to come home from VA, he has used up all his leave days. Also his ship will be leaving for six months shortly after Christmas. He is a Petty Officer 2nd Class on board the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT.

I'll bet Shannon (furluvcats) is done. She's just way too organized. :D

I'm getting close, but I have to head out today and get 17 gifts for everyone in my husband's office. We're having the company party at our house this weekend. Wish me luck! :D

I'm going shopping for myself tomorrow. I've already bought one DVD movie, wrapped it up, and put it under the tree. Going to a bigger Wal-Mart(ours is very small) and will probably buy some season sets for me, probably of Unsolved Mysteries. I love Christmas. :)

Finished. Did most of my shopping at Wal-Mart and the mall. Only one gift I didn't get at those two places, is a very nice picture for my grandmother on dad's side, which I'm going $15 on and my brother and mom are putting in the rest.

LOL Steve! Try reconciling that dilemma huh? :-)

I'm about 90% done now. Haven't wrapped a thing yet but there's a growing pile in my bedroom. Once we get our tree up, we'll begin the wrapping phase. I began shopping about 5 or 6 weeks ago. And the year before I started 2003 shopping, 10 months before xmas! Didn't quite work out that way this year. Sometimes you see the perfect gift online, on sale and in my case that gets the job rolling for me. This year nothing jumped out at me until late October maybe.

Used to be I couldn't start shopping until mid Dec. Since I was taking college classes and that was when my exams were done. It all worked out. I just don't like being out shopping as late as Dec. 23rd! That's cutting it way too close.

And years ago, my husband and a close male friend, traditionally shopped downtown on the 24th. They said stores were deserted of usual shoppers, were mostly filled with male shoppers. Shoppers with a specific goal in mind and plenty of sales girls waiting to select the perfect gift. Secretly I think Jim misses doing this - the way he describes it, it sounds as if Hooter's type sales chicks were at the ready!!! LOL

lol Mary, Your post described me word for word, except the taking classes part. :)

Although the problem I've found with shopping very early is that I shove it up in the closet and forget about it. Then, of course, I end up buying more gifts!
I very often end up saving gifts for birthdays that were meant for Christmas.

Okay, how many of you guys shop on Dec 24th??
