Oh how wonderful David! That's such a fun/scary time of life, isn't it? Tell him Congratulations on landing that first job!
As for missing handbell rehearsal, I'll tell you the same thing our director does: Miss too many rehearsals and your bells will be removed and you can SING your part!

I don't think that would go over too well at Febfest even though I am in the choir!!

You bet it is! I'm there now, not sure what's next and if I'll make it sometimes. I do have an interview in Madison, WI next week though - getting pretty excited (and nervous!).
Congrats on the job! You must be proud.

THANKS for all the kudo's. I'll be passing them along.
He will be learning to become a field service rep for Crown Lift Trucks who manufacture and maintain just about any type of lift truck there is(fork lifts, etc.)Their clients are small(hehehe)companies like Kroger, Costco, etc(just to name the two I can remember). He will be training in shop for about 2 yrs. and then be given his own company van and accounts or something along those lines. It is an international company and they prefer to promote from within so it seems like a great place to be. And he will have full benefits!

Hey David...you see, wonderful news can be found in the process of raising children to adulthood. Mixed in with all the trials and tribulations are some ingredients that actually result in productive decisions and opportunities.
I am SO happy to hear of Jimmy's first job, and I am sure he will shine!
He's earned the chance to prove himself, and you've earned every one of those gray hairs in the process!

echo-ing Steves remarks: Congratualtions to you and your son, David. Our offspring don't always make such a good transition to adulthood.
