Spongebob Squarepants

#1 Postby dvdweatherwizard » Wed Dec 08, 2004 9:02 pm

I thought I'd try to figure out how to post my first poll ever. In addition to the question asked, I am curious to find out how many people watch Spongebob on a regular basis and are huge fans. I am 22 years old, and I will admit that I have seen every Spongebob episode at least 3 times, and I thought that the movie was hilarious. I'd welcome comments from the people who saw the movie about what they thought of it. Also, I'd like to hear if you absolutely can't stand Spongebob too.

Nope...I'm not much of a Spongebob (or movie) fan.

Heck, I hadn't even see "Spiderman" until it aired on network tv a couple weeks ago (and I'm too cheap to purchase "Spiderman II" on DVD

I didn't like the movie that much. The show is so much better!

Actually, I rarely go to the movie theatre or even rent or watch movies on tv. My big exceptions to that though are anything that's Star Trek, anything that's Spongebob, or of course those awful natural disaster movies that we all love.

Well, I certainly think that the movie took on a different tune than the show does. I'm not sure what audience they were aiming that movie for, but I can certainly see why it was rated PG. (the television show is rated "TV Y" believe it or not!) I laughed hysterically throughout most of the movie, but the more I think about it as time goes on, the more I don't think that I can ever look at the show in quite the same way anymore. I'm still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing yet, but there is one thing I am sure of........things like the Triple Goober Berry Sunrise and the Goofy Goober will be forever etched in my memory now.

I have a five year old son and he lives, eats, sleeps and breaths Sponge!

I know every episode off by heart and can speak along with the dialoge...

In fact I have just finished doing his room out as bikini bottom... (my husband raises his eyebrows everytime my son says his room looks like downtown bikini bottom!) Complete with sponge mural (squids house, patricks house and the pineapple....oh and I threw in gary because he has his house on his back).. sponge lamp, spone pillow, sponge duvet... you name it! I am so glad I can paint and sew otherwise I would be bankrupt
