DHL plane crashes in Atlanta

Atlanta Hartsfield runway closed after international DHL cargo jet crashed
on landing. Landing gear failed, 3 injured.
Severe weather in the area.
Runway will reopen at 1 PM.
DHL flight originated in Cincinnati - NTSB
Cargo intact - day and a half delivery delay expected

Unreal!! That is a busy airport. Scares me everytime I go to Atlanta. 85 runs right by it and those planes fly low to land. One was so low I could see the people in the windows.
Glad no one was killed!!

And everytime I land there I swear I can see the people in the cars and trucks. To me that airport in that location is a disaster waiting to happen. The only saving grace might be that it is mostly industrial around it.

Yep... that airport is just too big. AVOID at all costs. I've been there several times to pick up relatives and it's just annoying doing that. I also think it's a disaster and a half waiting to happen. It's way too congested.
